Since mid-July, the team at Gaylord Opryland Resort has been working tirelessly to hang over 3 million lights in preparation for the hotel's annual A Country Christmas celebration. Now that the winter wonderland is officially open—here's just what you can expect.
ICE!

Over 2 million pounds of ice were used in the creation of Gaylord Opryland's signature holiday attraction ICE!. This year's theme is A Christmas Story and will feature iconic scenes from the hilarious movie crafted solely from ice sculptures. Kept at nine degrees Fahrenheit, ICE! is hand-carved by 40 master artisans from Harbin, China.

Located just steps away from ICE! is Pinetop, a new outdoor Appalachian-esque village featuring tubing, ice-skating, a Kids Train, Santa's Spinners teacup ride, Rocking' Christmas on Ice skating champions show, live local performances, shopping, warm beverages, and delicious treats. This new addition to Gaylord's A Country Christmas is not to be missed.
RUDOLPH THE RED-NOSED REINDEER: THE MUSICAL

The beloved TV classic Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer soars off the screen and onto the Grand Ole Opry House stage this holiday season. Guests will experience favorite characters including Santa and Mrs. Claus, Hermey the Elf, the Abominable Snow Monster, and of course Rudolph, as they come to life in Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer: The Musical.

Country superstar and Grand Ole Opry member Trace Adkins returns to Opryland for a new Christmas dinner show: The Gift of Christmas with Trace Adkins and Friends. Select performances will be held at the Wildhorse Saloon on November 16 through November 24, while the remaining show dates will be at the resort's Tennessee Ballroom November 27 through Christmas Day. Guests will enjoy a delicious holiday meal prepared by Gaylord Opryland's culinary team while listening to Adkins and a few of his closest friends sing Christmas and Celtic classics.
