In 2022, Nashville native Tim Ozgener, son of cigar industry legend Cano Ozgener, launched Ozgener Family Cigars.
The Ozgener Family Cigars brand pays homage to Ozgener's rich Armenian, Turkish, and American history, carrying on his family's legacy. The brand’s first regular production cigar was the Bosphorus, which showcases the heritage of the family and is named for the Bosphorus Strait that runs through Istanbul, Turkey and separates Europe from Asia.
Ozgener Family Cigars recently earned two prestigious awards including the 2022 New Company of the Year Award from Halfwheel, the leading cigar blog for cigar news and reviews, and a 92 point average rating on vertical brand testing for the brand's Bosphorus line from Cigar Aficionado, a magazine dedicated to the world of cigars.

“I am proud to represent Nashville, a city that has been an amazing community for my family and supported us and our businesses for decades,” says Ozgener. “My family’s reputation started with premium cigars and has grown with the establishment of the nonprofit OZ Arts Nashville as a destination for Contemporary Performing Arts. I’m delighted that my passion for creating items and experiences that bring joy to peoples' lives also carries on our family’s legacy.”
Ozgener Family Cigars are distributed by Crowned Heads Cigars, a company that Ozgener is an owner of. Plus, he is also well known for his role as co-founder and president of OZ Arts, a contemporary performing and visual arts center. (instagram.com/ozfamilycigars)
