I’ve been a fan of Nate Bargatze for years and I’m thrilled he was able to make time in his busy schedule to do a photoshoot and talk about his upcoming projects with us this month. The Old Hickory native from “37138” has multiple television specials coming out and a book on the horizon. You can catch him performing here locally, and his Nateland endeavor highlights rising talent at Zanies regularly, and on his podcast. I think it is great that he is supporting his local community while selling out tours and doing his Las Vegas residencies. I don’t know how he does it all, but he does, and I appreciate that he keeps his comedy clean so everyone can enjoy. I can’t wait to see his new holiday special; I am sure we’ll be quoting it for months to come.
How is your Holiday shopping coming along? We have scoured the town with our local gift guide showcasing multiple stores sure to help you with your Christmas list for the naughty and the nice. One thing in particular caught my eye. You may know I am a car enthusiast, and I especially love vintage cars. Well, Frazier Motorcar Company, who specializes in vintage cars, has this stunning 1969 Jaguar XKE for $128,500. Let me tell you, these are the gifts that keep giving because they appreciate and you’ll appreciate the smile on your face while you’re driving it. Check out jpfrazier.com; they always have a great selection of vintage cars. And... DON’T FORGET!
We’ve got the solution for those hard-to-buy-for friends and loved ones: a subscription to Nashville Lifestyles! Who wouldn’t want to be in the know every month on the latest events, new restaurants and, of course, the people you should know! It’s finally here!
The most wonderful time of the year! I love the holidays, and putting our December issue together always leaves me feeling holly and jolly, but this year brought an extra dose of holiday cheer courtesy of our cover star, Nate Bargatze. I had the pleasure of chatting with the comedian and learning more about his career and all his upcoming ventures, including a primetime holiday variety show airing on CBS (taped at Nashville’s very own Grand Ole Opry) and a new Netflix special, both premiering this month. Plus, he’s releasing his first book this May. I’m so excited for all the laughs that we’re in store for with these projects, and you can read all about it in our cover feature with Nashville’s funniest native.
Another thing I look forward to this time of year is, of course, shopping! Whether you’re building your own wish list or shopping for all the wonderful people in your life, our annual gift guide packs plenty of inspiration to fill your carts and hearts. And I would be remiss if I didn’t remind you about the gift that keeps on giving; a subscription to Nashville Lifestyles! It’s the perfect gift for anyone on your list who wants the inside scoop on all things Music City, including new openings, restaurants, events, and the people who make our city so incredible. Head to our website and check all those hard-to-shop-for folks off your list with a few easy clicks.
In this issue, we’re also bringing you on a dreamy, romantic getaway to two Southern properties: Barnsley Resort in Georgia and Windy Hill Farm in East Tennessee. If you’re looking to unwind from the stress of the holidays or just trying to beat the winter blues with your special someone, look no further than these gorgeous resorts. Looking to soak up the spirit of the season right here at home? We’ve got you covered with a roundup of some of our favorite holiday light displays in town. Plus, plenty of other holiday happenings throughout the month to keep your spirits bright. We’re also bringing you festive tunes to spin, including Brett Eldredge’s third holiday album, Merry Christmas (Welcome to the Family).
Check out our interview with the King of Christmas for more on the album, which includes eight new original tracks all co-written by Eldredge, along with all his excitement for his final stop of this year’s massive Glow tour on December 20 at Bridgestone Arena. It’s a feel-good show you won’t want to miss.
To close out this letter, I wish you all a very merry holiday season and a happy new year. Thank you for reading, subscribing, following us on social, and attending our events. In honor of my favorite holiday movie character, Clark Griswold, “I dedicate this [magazine] to the [Nashville Lifestyles] family Christmas... drumroll please.”
Happy reading and happy holidays!
