Violent Femmes to Perform BOTH Their Debut Album and Hallowed Ground During the Show
Ground-Breaking, Avant Garde Artists Violent Femmes are blazing into 2025 with a Spring Tour that is packing a double-shot of hits as they perform BOTH their debut, self-titled album and their sophomore release, Hallowed Ground. The tour will hit The Caverns on March 26.
Throughout these highly-anticipated performances, which have boasted sold out crowds for the past year, the Femmes will start the show by playing their second album, Hallowed Ground. Following a brief intermission, the band will retake the stage and play their debut record, Violent Femmes, as well as a few fan- and band-favorites to finish the show. Serving as a sonic time capsule for the soul, these special dates will capture the pivotal moment in music that has been hailed as the “soundtrack to male puberty.”
During the Hallowed Ground set, fans can expect to hear songs like the bold and bluesy "Sweet Misery Blues" and the banjo-fueled "Country Death Song," which showed a more eclectic side to the band by fusing elements of country, gospel, and blues into their music. An album that continues to mystify and excite fans, Hallowed Ground sets the stage perfectly for the more raw and raucous second half of the show.
The bombastic hits from their Billboard-topping, eponymous album will be on full display during the Violent Femmes portion of the show. Iconic and influential songs such as “Kiss Off,” “Add It Up,” and “Gone Daddy Gone,” which propelled the record to sell more than three million copies worldwide and stand as a pillar of an American underground movement, will be performed as well as hits from the remainder of the Femmes vast and formative repertoire.
A musical experience like none other, the Violent Femmes Tour has been hailed as one of the best concert experiences of 2024. Now, in its second year, fans can expect a barrage of hits rounded out by some of the Femmes’ finest hidden gems.
