Exploring the elusive nature of time and how humans continue to encounter more questions than answers.
Hot Stove League brings together the work of Post-Nothing, a critique group of Nashville-based artists. Founded in late February 2024, Post-Nothing has been meeting regularly to discuss and critique its member’s work. From these meetings, curators Allie Horick and Mauro Antonio Barreto identified recurring themes, from memory to perception, spirituality to ecology, and mass media to popular culture across what members were making. Inspired by the concept of a baseball hot stove league, a period of off-season speculation and debate, Horick and Barreto conceived this exhibition as a space for dialogue and connection among the group’s diverse practices.
Founded in 2023 in the historic Nashville Arcade, Arcade Arts is building on the well-established presence and history of Nashville’s Arts District to create and sustain a well-supported home for the visual arts in the heart of downtown Nashville. Home to a collection of 12 working artists’ studios and galleries, visitors can engage with artists actively creating their work in a variety of media during open hours and frequent curated art events.
