Cherry Bomb + Kindling Arts presents: East Nashville Facebook Page: The Musical
Following the 2024 Kindling Arts Festival, the sensational and uproarious East Nashville Facebook Page: The Musical is back and bigger than ever -- and this time, it's happening in the heart of East Nashville on the high holy days of Tomato Arts Fest! Following it's buzzworthy premiere at last year's Kindling Art's Festival, Emma Supica and her band of merry misfits at Cherry Bomb have expanded their musical revue of the social media group you simply can’t look away from: The East Nashville Facebook Page. This whirlwind, partially-improvised theatrical delight takes on the city’s most revered and despised news source, celebrated with full fanfare and catchy songs. Whether it’s a very naughty piece of furniture, a missed connection waiting to happen at the Eastland Kroger, or getting obnoxiously day-drunk in the name of celebrating a red fruit, this hilarious romp will remind you of all the reasons you love living in Music City – and maybe even a few reasons why you hate it, too! You won't want to miss this new edition of the cult classic, featuring new songs by Cherry Bomb and some extra special tomato surprises.
This performance is presented on Saturday, August 10th at Riverside Revival in East Nashville as a "post-script" to Kindling Arts Festival 2024 (July 18-21). Festival Passholders receive a 20% discount with their full weekend pass, and must book tickets in advance via the Riverside site using the code.
The festive Tomato Arts Fest weekend will round out with a special East Nashville presentation of An Offering by Emmalee Manes, long-time friend of Kindling Arts. The fascinating new play, which reimagines the biblical story of Cain and Abel in a modern day Nashville (pedal taverns and all) and features one very special tomato plant, will be presented on Sunday, August 11th at 7pm at DRKMTTR Collective. Tickets are just $15 and available via drkmttrcollective.com.
