Recently, Hutton Hotel opened two new writers' rooms, designed for comfort and convenienceand created by artists for artists.
The rooms, appropriately titled Gibson and Martin, reflect the different creative styles of the two artists that helped design them: country music star Dierks Bentley and One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder. Each studio room is filled with state-of-the-art equipment and a sound booth to record the masterpieces conspired within the walls.
Bentley's Martin room, with Southwestern décor and a relaxed feel, is inspired by his Arizona roots. Woven rugs rest on the floor, and a picture of Johnny Cash accents the wall. True to the name, several Martin guitars are found throughout the space. Tedder's Gibson room is a loft-style space, complete with cozy touches, such as potted plants and a vibrant blue rug. The room also includes a piano and several Gibson guitars.
The rooms are part of several changes being made at the Hutton. A new, 10,000-sqaure-foot music venue space, called Analog, is now open, giving artists the full experience of being able to stay, perform, and writeall in one location.
'The writing spaces are designed specifically for artists and musicians,” general manager Jonathan Bartlett says. 'They serve the needs of our lifelong clients and foster a new generation of Hutton fans, who are inspired by their travel experiences to create music.”
