If the locals haven’t told you yet about Santo, a Mediterranean bistro in Green Hills, it may be because they want the oysters and martinis all to themselves... but we don't gatekeep any secrets here. Tucked on the corner of the Vertis building, Santo showcases a bright patio that contrasts the intimate interior's warm lighting, plastered walls, and walnut paneling.
The menu features a variety of entrees, with highlights like the Hanger Steak with Chimichurri Butter and crispy garlic parmesan fries, the house made Squid Ink Fettuccini with mussels in a spicy red sauce, and the Branzino Fish with Egyptian spice over lentils and quinoa.
Santo is open Monday through Saturday for dinner, plus a daily happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. (hello oysters!) and a brunch/lunch on both Friday and Saturday at 11am.
The charming neighborhood of Sylvan Park is home to Lola, a Spanish restaurant and bar. The wide accordion doors slide open to the patio, and while inside guests will find a charming space full of energy.
Chef Liam Byres’s menu is consistently evolving with menu items including the house butchered Morcilla Sausage, day boat fish ranging from spotted rose snapper to pompano, and local squash blackened over a rich burgundy-colored Chile sauce. The charcuterie board complete with wild Spanish cuts and cheeses, plus house pickles, crackers, and nuts is also a must.
Happy hour is from 4 to 6 p.m. every day (although the restaurant is closed on Tuesdays) with bites, cocktails, wine, and a non-alcoholic menu ranging from mocktails to non-alcoholic aperitifs, and alcohol-free beers.
