Whiskey lovers raise a glass, because the highly anticipated Tennessee Whiskey Trail Experience is back.
Now through May 21, the curated event held at The Green at Ascend Amphitheater features four fun-filled days of whiskey tastings, distillery tours, delicious food, music, and much more. Over 30 distilleries from the Tennessee Whiskey Trail will be in attendance, giving guests a taste of the rich history, tradition, and novelty that comprise Tennessee whiskey.
Presented by Tennessee Whiskey Trail and Half Full Productions, each day offers a different event for guests to discover. Whether you choose to attend one event or all of them, there is something for whiskey lovers of all walks of life to enjoy. The festivities kick off on Thursday with the Davidson Reserve Blend Your Own Bottle Experience, in which Pennington Distilling Company’s expert staff of blenders guide guests through a personalized adventure blending their own Tennessee whiskey. In addition to the instruction and materials, the event include hors d’oeuvres, an open bar, and a customized 750 ml bottle of your personal blend. Tickets cost $199 and are limited to the first 50 people.
On Friday, enjoy a full day of education, touring, tasting, mouthwatering barbecue, live music, and more at the Jack Daniel’s Tour, Tasting, and BBQ on the Hill Experience. During the event guests will also have the opportunity to meet with Jack Daniel’s distillers, further adding to the authenticity of the interactive experience. Tickets are $129, limited to the first 300 ticket buyers, and include roundtrip transportation to Lynchburg with buses leaving at 9 a.m. and returning by 4 p.m. Later that day, be sure to stop by the Ole Smokey Friday Night Pre-Party at 6th & Peabody. This free event is open to the public and features tastings, live music, yard games, food available for purchase, and no shortage of good times.
And the eagerly awaited main event, the Grand Tasting Experience, takes place on Saturday. General admission tickets cost $79, and attendees will receive a souvenir tasting Glencairn glass to use for sampling all the TN Whiskey Trail Distilleries in one lively place. There will also be food tastings from talented featured chefs throughout the evening, a cigar lounge, live music, games, and bottles available for purchase to go. Or, opt for the VIP experience which grants guests early entry and access to a VIP area with seating, tastings, and small bites in addition to all of the general admission benefits. VIP tickets are limited to the first 300 people and cost $169.
Round out the weekend on Sunday with the Women in Whiskey Brunch, which appropriately falls on International Tennessee Whiskey Day. The decadent brunch will be held atop the JW Marriott at Bourbon Steak and includes a tasting flight from the trailblazing women representing TN Whiskey. Tickets are $159 and limited to the first 100 guests.
