iggy's Capatelli.
Savor the flavors of fall with a cozy and hearty meal.
Pasta lovers, rejoice! This Wedgewood-Houston hot spot focuses on inventive Italian cuisine and craft cocktails with new fall forward additions to their menu. Must orders include the Tortellini made with Green Door Farm butternut squash, guanciale, brown butter, sage, and maple reduction, (it is perfection in a bowl!), and the Capatelli made with confit chicken thigh, braised cabbage, Brussels sprouts, chestnuts, celery roots, and lovage. It's a warm hug and a play on the classic chicken noodle soup, if you will.
One of Nashville's newest and hottest spots, Butterlamp is a European-inspired wine bar and bread house serving up a rotating selection of wines by the glass, plus bread-focused plates. The current menu features warm sourdough topped with pumpkin, caramelized cream, fig leaves, and XO sauce (which contains shellfish). We couldn't think of anything better than pairing your elevated bar bite with a glass of vino, really.
Comfort food, but make it farm-to-table. No matter which direction your meal goes, start with the Roasted Heirloom Squash Soup, topped with cashew crumb, pepitas, and za'atar. The soup is both vegan and gluten-free.
A Franklin favorite, 1799 Kitchen & Cocktails located in The Harpeth Hotel is serving up mouth-watering, fall-flavored entrées and equally delicious desserts. Order the Cornbread Stuffed Quails (including andouille sausage, Brussels sprouts, smoked butternut squash puree, and a Demi-glaze). Then, satisfy your sweet tooth with a slice of pumpkin cheesecake, topped with Chantilly cream, toasted walnuts, and pumpkin spice.
The Apple Cider French Toast from Buttermilk Ranch is a twice-baked almond and apple croissant, topped with cream cheese whipped cream, candied walnuts, and apple butter. It's a little bit savory and a little bit sweet, but 100 percent delicious!
