Victoria Quirk
Evelyn’s, a classic Americana-inspired restaurant, is now open in the Hutton Hotel.
Evelyn’s pays homage to Evelyn Sharp, a 20th-century hotelier, investor, socialite, and art collector. As an art savant and Manhattan native, she dedicated a great deal of her life, money, and passions as a philanthropist in the areas of music, dance, and arts education.
Inspired by its namesake, the inviting and art-filled new dining destination offers a seasonal menu featuring a modern take on nostalgic American recipes. Infused with the flavors of the South, the menu items highlight the local ingredients and purveyors of the Nashville region.
On the Menu
Evelyn’s dinner menu will include snacks and small plates that are meant to be shared, with dishes including Steak Tartare, Burrata Tartine, and Roasted Artichoke Hearts. Larger plates will include Nashville Hot Fish & Chips, Baby Carrot Ravioli, and Broiled Red Snapper. Guests can expect a dessert menu of items such as Drop Biscuit Cobbler, S’mores Chocolate Cake, and the Evelyn’s Sundae for Two.
The breakfast and brunch menus will include a selection of seasonal pastries and sides to start, as well as plated dishes including Evelyn’s Benedict, Avocado & Shrimp Toast, a Griddled Breakfast Burrito, Brioche French Toast, and more.
A craft-forward beverage menu will include sips like the Hutton Old Fashioned, the Eve+Lyn, and the Front Porch Swing. In addition, the bar program includes an extensive list of international wines.
The Design
The restaurant’s interior features fine art reminiscent of Evelyn’s personal collection and design details that showcase contemporary inspiration applied to the mid-century modern aesthetic.
Designed by hospitality interior design firm, AvroKO, the restaurant showcases a welcoming and comfortable curated dining room that exemplifies Evelyn’s passion for hosting and hospitality, with a moody bar that allows for the perfect place to socialize over a drink.
“The grand opening of Evelyn’s is not only a celebration of culinary excellence in our food-forward city, but is also an authentic tribute to the best of the American spirit — the positive impact of hospitality, art, food, and connection,” says Monte Silva, general manager of Evelyn’s. “We couldn’t be happier to share our thoughtful concept with both natives and visitors of our great Nashville.”
