Music City's real estate market is boomingand HGTV is taking notice. It's no secret that people are moving to Nashville for a long list of reasonsthe neighborhoods, the nightlife, the food, the jobs, andof coursethe music scene. Check out these three Nashville-based home renovation shows and the dream homes they help create.
Listed Sisters
Twins Lex and Alana are making a splash on HGTV with their Nashville-based home renovation show. Each episode has two partsrenovating the home their clients want to sell, and the search for the client's dream homesimilar to one of HGTV's staples, Property Brothers.
Favorite local spots for the pair include Rolf & Daughters and Chauhan Ale & Masala, and of course, the downtown honky tonks. Listed Sisters has already finished its first season, and it is currently accepting applications from Nashville homeowners for the second.
Nashville Flipped
Troy Dean Shafer, a local house flipper, loves to renovate homes in historic Nashville communities, like East and North Nashville. He and his team, including interior designer Julie Couch, take fixer uppers and return them to their original glorybut with modern amenities. One of Troy's first projects in the series was a renovation of a home in Springfield (about 40 minutes north of Nashville). Once renovated, the home featured details like 1920's era landscaping, raw wood ceilings, and period-authentic stained glass windows. The show is into its first season and began airing in Spring of 2016. (On sister network DIY Network)
Masters of Flip
With several previous reality shows and over 50 homes flipped, husband-and-wife team Kourtney and Dave are pros at the Nashville real estate market. Each episode of Masters of Flip shows the long process of trying to make a profit by flipping a home. The couple usually remodels the uninhabitable homes they purchase to be extremely modern and family-friendly. The show already has already aired one season, and season two first aired in Spring of 2016.
