The Bell Tower
March 21, 2015
Mutual friends introduced Sloan and Drew in the summer of 2012. Two years later, Drew proposed beneath the stars at Arrington Vineyards. 'He was an adorable mess,” Sloan recalls. 'I could tell he was nervous, but I was absolutely oblivious to what was about to happen!”
Sloan and Drew wanted their wedding day to be warm and comfortable with a touch of glitz. 'Drew has a very classic style, while I have a gypsy soul, and we wanted our wedding to reflect us,” the bride explains. With its lofty ceilings, exposed wooden beams, and urban, downtown locale, The Bell Tower provided the perfect compromise.
In lieu of traditional vows, Sloan and Drew exchanged personalized promise statements. 'The moment we exchanged our own promises is something we both cherish so much,” Sloan shares. 'Since we wrote them down, we are able to relive that moment forever!”
'Please enjoy every moment of being a bride. Even when everything seems like it's a mess, as long as you marry the person of your dreams, your wedding is perfect.”
