Vanderbilt's Benton Chapel; The Hutton Hotel
August 15, 2015
Meredith and Lee met through mutual friends at Vanderbilt University. 'We became good friends our senior year of college and started dating shortly thereafter,” Meredith explains. Lee then pulled off a romantic holiday proposal on Christmas Eve at his family's farm.
The couple envisioned a classic wedding complete with a traditional church ceremony. Vanderbilt's Benton Chapel was a perfect fit, especially since it's situated on the same
campus where Meredith and Lee began their relationship.
The bride and groom chose to forgo a first look before the ceremony, making Meredith's walk down the aisle even more memorable. What's more, Meredith's mother used pieces of her own wedding dress to craft Meredith's garter. 'I was sure to recover it after Lee tossed it to one of his friends at the reception!” the bride shares.
'Plan your day a little at a
time so it's not overwhelming at the end. When people want to help, accept the offers and delegate tasks!”
