On an early fall afternoon, lifestyle blogger and party expert Amanda S. Gluck, of Fashionable Hostess, hosted a calligraphy workshop at her Belle Meade home. Calligraphy teacher, Alyssa Thiel of Parris Chic, came in from New Jersey just for the occasion while Gluck designed the event.
Guests were greeted with fresh mimosasa mixture of Le Grand Courtage champagne and freshly muddled strawberry juice with garnishes of lavender and edible flowers. They then headed to the back porch for a lavish buffet of muffins, scones, and yogurt parfaits from The Southern as well as pastel pink and white mini cupcakes from Gigi's Cupcakes, which guests enjoyed on vintage china by local company Vintage Vessels.
In the backyard, long, beautiful tables, provided by Please Be Seated Luxury Party Rentals, were adorned with vintage-inspired Hunt linens while the calligraphy tables were set with stunning arrangements of dahlias by The Farmer's Florist. Calligraphy packets, pens, and ink, provided by Thiel sat at each setting and as guests enjoyed their sips and nibbles, Thiel conducted an hour and a half calligraphy lesson, teaching everyone the art of the skill.
