Lillian James CAA Baseball Agent
DAY IN THE LIFE
I work alongside a team of agents to support our roster of baseball talent in all areas, on and off the field. We operate collaboratively to ensure each athlete receives personalized, high-level service where my focus is on endorsement opportunities, social media and PR strategy, philanthropic initiatives, and overall brand development. From Major League stars to top high school prospects, we work in lockstep to deliver consistent communication and support tailored to each player’s goals.
DEFINING SUCCESS
To me, success is building something with integrity and consistency, while helping others grow in the process. It’s not just about the visible wins; it’s about how you show up every day and who you become along the way. Baseball is a mentally and physically demanding game, so you have to pause and celebrate each success. Some of my favorite memories in this career are moments with families— Draft Day, an MLB debut, a first All-Star Game. The journey is long and tough, but those milestones make it all worth it and fuel the work it takes to reach the next one.
ADVICE FOR OTHERS
Be relentless in gaining experience. While in college, f ind every opportunity to get involved, whether it’s working in your school’s athletic department, volunteering at events, or taking on internships. And don’t underestimate the value of transferable skills. I gave campus tours at the University of Florida and spoke to prospective students and families — that experience helped me learn how to communicate with confidence, think on my feet, and build trust. It’s all connected.
