Jeri Anne Agee Director of Operations, Adams Wealth Partners
DAY IN THE LIFE
I’m the Director of Operations at Adams Wealth Partners, a boutique wealth management firm located in Nashville’s 12 South neighborhood. I support our clients with everything from portfolio maintenance to comprehensive wealth planning. I’m also deeply involved in our Women & Wealth initiative, which is a cause close to my heart. It allows us to connect with women in the community and empower them through financial education and confidence-building conversations about money.
CHALLENGES FACED
Early in my career, being a woman in finance was a challenge in itself. It was — and still can be — a boys’ club. My ideas were often overlooked, and I was questioned for things like leaving to care for a sick child — something my male peers never had to explain. I also noticed that many women were excluded from financial conversations in meetings. That’s why I’m so passionate about Women & Wealth — we’re changing that narrative and making sure women are seen, heard, and empowered. While the industry has evolved, we still have a ways to go, especially with the upcoming generational shift in wealth ownership.
ADVICE FOR OTHERS
The financial industry is changing, and that’s exciting. The glass ceiling has cracks, but there’s still work to do. My best advice: work hard, stay curious, and never stop learning. Confidence comes from knowing your stuff, so invest in yourself. And remember: your voice matters. Don’t be afraid to use it.
