Alexis Jones Founder & CEO of SnapBack Returns
DAY IN THE LIFE
I’m the founder of SnapBack Returns, an AI-powered platform that makes returning online purchases as easy as ordering them— literally. We offer doorstep return pickups through partnerships like DoorDash, helping people save time, money, and stress. My job is to make sure we’re building a product that solves real problems, all while keeping the customer at the center of everything we do. My journey has never been linear. The time I spent working in hospice care taught me how to truly listen and lead with empathy. It was during the pandemic when I realized I was losing money on the purchases I forgot to return. It was at that moment I realized I couldn’t be the only one. I took that idea and ran with it, learning tech, building a team, and launching SnapBack Returns from the ground up.
CHALLENGES FACED
Early on, the biggest challenge was simply getting people to believe in the vision, especially in tech spaces where I was often the only woman, and the only person of color. Today, the challenge is scaling with intention. We’re growing fast while staying true to the mission, and making the right hires is key.
DEFINING SUCCESS
To me, success is when people feel seen, heard, and supported because of something you built. It’s not just about revenue, it’s about impact, and how your work makes others’ lives better.
