Drs. Charity McConnell and Karen Broussard are members of the Franklin Dermatology Group (FDG) team and focus on providing high quality dermatological care to all patients.
Dr. McConnell is a Tennessee native who completed her dermatology residency at Wake Forest University. She became partner at FDG in 2002 and is now the sole owner of the esteemed practice. Dr. Broussard joined FDG in 2015 after finishing her dermatology residency at Vanderbilt University. Both are honored to spend each day caring for their medical, cosmetic, and surgical dermatology patients. In her time away from the office, Dr. McConnell loves spending time with her husband and teenage son, cooking, and traveling. Dr. Broussard stays busy with her two young children and keeping up with their activities. She is a big foodie who loves to travel, cook, and read when she gets time to herself.
Dr. McConnell and Dr. Broussard work alongside wonderful colleagues at FDG including three additional board-certified dermatologists (Dr. Lesley Starnes, Dr. Alexandra Navarro, and Dr. Vineet Mishra) and four nurse practitioners (Emily Stewart, Nikki Wood, Lissa Rhodes, and Kaylyn Bourne). FDG recently expanded to incorporate a Mohs Micrographic Surgery Center, led by Dr. Vineet Mishra, to provide specialized surgical care for skin cancer patients. FDG has exciting plans for fall 2021 by growing its clinic space and adding a fifth board-certified dermatologist to serve the growing community of the greater Nashville area.
