Who has been the greatest influence in your life?
I have always said I was raised by God and Oprah. Now, I would say one of my greatest influences in my life is my son, Wyatt. He inspires me every day to be my best version of myself. Oh, and Dolly. I love her. Dolly Parton has been a true influence and a light in the world, using her gifts to uplift and help others.
What organization are you affiliated with and why is it important to you?
CASA Nashville. This year, I celebrated my 15th anniversary as a child advocate with CASA. It is an honor to serve these children. These children have been through things most cannot imagine. I was not a foster child, but I did have some similar circumstances in my childhood that these children face before they come into care. So, it is incredibly important to me to show up for these children and help be their voice and make sure they know there is someone in their corner fighting for them.
What is one thing most people don’t know about you?
I founded a nonprofit, and we are doing a soft launch this year. It’s called Goodography, and it’s an organization dedicated to providing professional photographers and photography services for important and sensitive moments. We want to help capture memories for families facing challenging circumstances, documenting critical events, or offering compassionate support during vulnerable times. There is power in photography — to tell stories and help preserve meaningful memories. Our first official project was documenting the Red Shoe Party for CASA, so that’s really special to me.
