What accomplishment are you most proud of?
I'm so proud to have built a music career I love, with songs that I hope touch hearts, but nothing compares to being a wife and mom. My husband DJ and I have been married 23 years, and raising our two kids has been the most beautiful and humbling experience of my life. They are my greatest accomplishment.
Who is someone you consider a hero and why?
My first music teacher, Susan Beck. She pulled me out of band class — probably a relief to everyone since I was a terrible clarinet player! But more importantly, she saw me when I didn’t see myself and believed in my calling long before I did. Her support gave me the confidence to pursue music, and I shared this story on my YouTube series, My World in My Words, because her impact means so much to me.
A quote you live by:
“Don’t dig up in doubt what you planted in faith.” —Elisabeth Elliot This quote has stayed with me through every season, whether it was stepping away from the spotlight to raise my children, starting my jewelry line from the ground up, or trusting my path in music again. It reminds me to stay rooted in purpose, even when things feel uncertain. Faith planted in love always bears fruit — sometimes you just have to wait and trust the timing.
