The Community Foundation of Middle Tennessee's twenty-seventh annual Joe Kraft Humanitarian Award Luncheon honoring Susan and Luke Simons was held at Music City Center’s Davidson Ballroom.
About 250 attendees, enjoyed a salmon, salad, and tiramisu lunch, along with individually wrapped packets of Luke’s favorite Benne crackers from his hometown of Charleston, South Carolina.
The Joe Kraft Humanitarian Award was created to perpetuate the memory of a remarkable person who led the community by strength of character and unwavering integrity. The award is given annually to individuals who, like Joe, have made life better for others through hard work, bold dedication to service, and strong faith in the human spirit.
