On Wednesday, March 16, guests mixed and mingled at our annual SWIG Cocktail Competition.
Nashville's top bartenders came together to compete for best craft cocktails made with Old Dominick Gin and Huling Station Straight Bourbon, and the festive crowd voted for their favorites in each spirit category! Participating bartenders included those from AVO, Bourbon Steak, City Winery, EG+MC, Jane’s Hideaway, Jasper’s, lou/na, Red Phone Booth, Sambuca, and Sinema.
While sipping cocktails, guests listened to tunes from DJ extraordinaire Alanna Royale, snacked on delicious bites from City Winery, and made Photo Booth memories with Nashville Smile Bar.
The Winner
After two hours of sampling each cocktail creation, EG+MC was determined the winner for both the gin AND bourbon category. Their cocktails included:
- A Bourbon for Bullock: Huling Station Straight Bourbon, oloroso sherry, pineapple stock, lemon juice, and rosemary mint turbinado syrup
- The Black Word: Old Dominick Gin, lime juice, aperol, housemate ginger shrub, activated charcoal, and soda water
Runners-Up: Lou/Na and Sinema
A portion of proceeds from the event benefited Giving Kitchen Tennessee. SWIG Cocktail Competition was sponsored by Old Dominick and Haven at the Gulch.
