Playmakers Nashville, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, today announced the launch of its membership program designed to support and advance women working in sports across Middle Tennessee. The organization is the first of its kind in the region dedicated exclusively to creating a structured ecosystem for women at every stage of their sports careers.
Founded by industry veterans Erin Ryder and Emma May-Bradley, who bring over 45 years of combined experience in sports marketing, operations, and production, Playmakers Nashville was created to meet a growing demand for meaningful connection, professional development, and representation in the sports industry.
"We created Playmakers Nashville because we saw the need for a dedicated space where women in sports could connect, learn, and grow together," said May-Bradley. "Whether you're a college student just starting out or an executive leading a major organization, we all benefit from community and shared resources."
The organization is built on three core pillars: Access, Community, and Growth. Through these pillars, members gain entry to curated networking events, career-building education, mentorship opportunities, and hands-on programming designed to accelerate professional development and foster long-term impact.
Playmakers Nashville offers inclusive membership tiers to serve women at every level, from students and emerging professionals to seasoned executives. Annual membership ranges from complimentary student access to executive-level memberships, ensuring accessibility while building a dynamic, multi-generational community.
“We believe the sports industry is strongest when women are supported, visible, and empowered to lead,” said co-founder Erin Ryder. “Playmakers Nashville exists to open doors, strengthen relationships, and help women build the careers they deserve, right here in our city.”
Playmakers Nashville is proud to launch with support from its Founding Partners: the Tennessee Titans, Nashville Predators, Vanderbilt University, and Rebel Girls. These partnerships reflect a shared commitment to advancing women in sports and investing in the future of the industry.
Membership is now open. For more information on membership or to join Playmakers Nashville, visit www.playmakersnashville.org.
