For the world premiere of Nashville sculptor Alan LeQuire’s new exhibit, Monumental Figures, Centennial Park Conservancy and the Parthenon planned a series of opening events for devout supporters and art enthusiasts. Prior to the exhibit’s opening, LeQuire Gallery hosted an intimate reception for CPC donors, offering them a behind-the-scenes peek at LeQuire’s new larger-than-life sculptures from the exhibit. The night before the exhibit opened in June, the Parthenon welcomed 800 guests for a VIP Opening Party, which allowed visitors to explore both Monumental Figures and Goddess in Progress, an exhibit about LeQuire’s eight-year construction of the 42-foot Athena sculpture. Following the opening, guests gathered at the Parthenon for a free Artist Talk with LeQuire about both exhibits. Monumental Figures, featuring 24 new works focused primarily on strong women, will be open until Sept. 21, and Goddess in Progress will remain on exhibit until April 19, 2026.
