On a rare day off from his sold-out comedy tour via Live Nation, rising country music artist Matt Mathews took center stage at the iconic Ocean Way Studios in Nashville on Tuesday for an unforgettable debut album showcase, offering an intimate first listen to tracks from his forthcoming self-titled album.
Despite severe weather, storms, and tornado warnings sweeping through the area, the room was packed with music industry insiders and select lucky fans, all eager to witness the next big voice in country music. The exclusive event was powered by Google Fiber, with guests enjoying elevated bites and craft libations throughout the evening.
The evening’s emcee, the always-effervescent Caroline Bryan—beloved personality and wife of country superstar Luke Bryan—kept the crowd energized and engaged with her signature Southern charm.
As a special tribute, Gibson Guitars presented Mathews with a custom Hummingbird guitar, honoring the milestone occasion. The guitar maker also gave Mathews a behind the scenes tour of their famed Gibson Garage earlier in the day. Virgin Hotels Nashville elevated the fan experience by gifting a luxury staycation giveaway to one lucky audience member.
This momentous event follows a public hometown Showcase in Birmingham, AL May 15th where Mathews donated 100% of ticket sales to the Animal League of Birmingham- a cause close to his heart. In a show of extraordinary generosity during the check presentation, he personally matched the donation, doubling the support for the local organization.
At both shows, Mathews performed a selection of tracks from his upcoming debut album, captivating listeners with his authenticity, powerhouse vocals, and emotional storytelling. His already-released singles, “What a War” and “Joke’s On Me,” which dropped earlier this spring, continue to gain momentum and are currently streaming on all major platforms.
