The Johnny Cash Museum has once again been named Best Music Museum in America in the 2026 USA Today 10Best Readers’ Choice Travel Awards, marking an extraordinary four consecutive years at the top of the national rankings.
The honor, determined by public voting following expert nominations, further cements the Johnny Cash Museum’s reputation as one of the most compelling and respected music museums in the country. Among numerous nominees nationwide, the museum emerged as the clear favorite after four weeks of voting by readers across the U.S.
“This continued recognition speaks volumes about Johnny Cash’s enduring legacy,” said museum owner Bill Miller. “Johnny’s life, music, and message transcend generations, and being named the nation’s best music museum for the fourth year in a row is a powerful testament to the impact he continues to have around the world.”
The award follows another standout year for the Nashville attraction, which continues to draw record numbers of visitors from across the globe. The museum houses the world’s largest and most comprehensive collection of Johnny Cash artifacts and memorabilia, offering guests an immersive look into the life, career, and influence of one of music’s most iconic figures.
The Johnny Cash Museum was founded by Bill Miller, a longtime friend and collaborator of Cash. Recognizing the absence of a permanent tribute worthy of Cash’s legacy in Nashville, Miller established the Johnny Cash Museum in 2013. The museum was the first venture in what has since grown into Icon Entertainment & Hospitality’s expansive downtown Nashville portfolio, now encompassing more than 100,000 square feet of commercial real estate and employing over 500 people.
