On Tuesday, August 18, The Hermitage Hotel unveiled its National Landmark Plaque that will adorn the front of the historic building.
The ceremony was held on the same day as the 100th anniversary of Tennessee voting to ratify the 19th Amendment and included speeches from Mayor John Cooper, Senator Marsha Blackburn, Superintendent Niki Nicholas, and Molly Hardie.
The unveiling was followed by an antique car parade and, in the spirit of passing the vote, honking of horns and ringing of bells.
