The Crown Royal Purple Bag Project was onsite in Nashville this past weekend, where ACM nominated artists and country music stars, Ryan Hurd, Ashley Mcbryde, Darius Rucker, Luke Combs, Chris Young, Maren Morris, Charles Kelley and Dave Haywood of Lady A and more, packed care packages with essentials and hand-written notes for American military heroes. ACM Awards male artist of the year, Thomas Rhett, also packed a bag to support the Crown Royal Purple Bag Project.
For every bag packed, Crown Royal donated $1 to Packages from Home, reaching their goal of 20,000 bags packed and donating $20,000 in support of American military heroes.
Crown Royal partnered with the Academy of Country Music to bring country music fans the ACM Awards Pre-Party For a Cause, where folks at home were able to participate by virtually packing bags during the pre-show to help them reach their goal!
Additionally, Crown Royal donated $20,000 to ACM Lifting Lives®, providing grants to those in need in the country music community who have been adversely affected by COVID-19.
