On Monday, September 22, Bridgestone and Maplewood High School’s Automotive Training Center will partner with nonprofit Women in Trucking (WIT) to immerse students into the world of commercial trucking and automotive maintenance.
An interactive trailer featuring driving simulators and activities that highlight STEM-driven careers will park at Maplewood High School, giving students and inside look at future professions in transportation. Bridgestone, Maplewood and WIT leadership will also speak to students about the importance of career-focused curriculum and the essential role it plays in developing bright futures.
Since 2015, Bridgestone has supported Maplewood High School’s Automotive Training Center, which utilizes an on-site, fully functioning Firestone Complete Auto Care store to give students an opportunity to interact with customers and practice the skills they’ve learned in the classroom.
