On Saturday, August 31, the BE-Hive hosted the first ever plant-based End of Summer Cookout.
Proceeds from food, bar sales, and other onsite activites like the dunking booth went to benefit the Nashville Humane Association who also hosted adoptable pups onsite from 11am-1pm.
In additon to Nashville Humane Association's Executive Director stepping into the booth, some of the other notable Nashvillians who donated their time to be dunked for NHA included entrepeneur, Marcus Whitney, Dirtrict 19 Council Member, Freddie O' Connell, and FOX 17 Anchor and Reporter, Erika Glover.
The afternoon's sponsors included Absolut Juice and Bearded Iris Brewing who both had products available for purchase at the cookout.
In additon to the BE-Hive' vegan menu, AVO, Five Points Pizza, Succulent Vegan Tacos, Radical Rabbit, and Rose Gold Vegan Bakery also served up their own plant-based eats and contributed 10% of sales to NHA.
