On Thursday, July 25, the YWCA of Nashville and Middle Tennessee announced six of the city's most influential women and Bank of America as the selected inductees of the Academy for Women of Achievement (AWA).
They will be honored at the 28th annual AWA celebration and induction dinner at the Music City Center on October 24.
The 2019 AWA honorees included Gail Carr Williams, Beth Chase, Honorable Ana Escobar, Mendy Mazzo, Consuelo Wilkins, MD, Vicki Yates, and Bank of America as the corporate honoree.
Proceeds from the event, sponsored by the Nashville Predators, help fund the programs of the YWCA, which is the largest provider of domestic violence services in Tennessee.
