Community members gathered at McLemore House African-American Museum for an opening celebration. The gathering marks the beginning of tours at the historic home, which opened to the public on Friday, April 21. President of the African American Heritage Society, Alma McLemore spoke about the historical significance of the home, which was built by a former slave residing in Franklin, TN. Members of the board were also in attendance, including Marianne Schroer, chair of the tours committee and historian Thelma Battle.
