The 22nd annual Nissan Chukkers for Charity polo match themed “Diamonds & Divots” dazzled guests on Saturday, September 8 at Riverview Farm, hosted by Lee Ann and Orrin Ingram.
The signature event raised more than $220,000 for Rochelle Center and Saddle Up!, featuring all-female teams. The Ironhorse Farms team included Martha Bennett, Virginia Ingram, Hope Arellano and Gillian Johnston.
The Colonial Hill Farm team included Gracie Brown, Lexie Armstrong, Dawn Jones (wife of actor Tommy Lee Jones) and Allie Henderson.
Team sponsors John and Crispin Menefee’s Ironhorse Farms and Eleanor Menefee Parkes’ Colonial Hill Farm created a bit of sibling rivalry, as the opposing farm owners John and Eleanor are brother and sister.
Team Ironhorse Farms prevailed with a score of 6 - 5 and Dawn Jones was named the most valuable player, receiving a watch provided by King Jewelers.
Attendees also enjoyed the gorgeous day with a classic car show, cabana decorating contest, silent auction, petting zoo and signature Jack Daniels “Diamond in the Rough” cocktails.
