The Bluebird Cafe and Alive Hospice's annual songwriter series, Alive at The Bluebird, has officially kicked off and will feature a year-long live stream of both up-and-coming and established singers-songwriters.
Due to COVID-19, the annual benefit concert will take place virtually for the first time in 28 years. The change allows both fans in Nashville and beyond to remotely experience the magic of The Bluebird and support Alive Hospice, the only nonprofit provider of hospice care and end-of-life services in Middle Tennessee.
“This year forced all of us to think more about what really matters and find creative ways to sustain our work. When it came time to start planning Alive at The Bluebird, we knew we couldn’t let uncertainty overshadow a beautiful tradition that means so much to our community,” said Erika Wollam Nichols, President/GM of the Bluebird Cafe.
The 15-show series will stream every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. CST throughout January, and the first Thursday of each month thereafter. Initial artists set to perform include Grammy-award winning Josh Osborne and Shane McAnally, Nashville native JT Harding, country artists and songwriters Kendall Marvel, Waylon Payne, and Erin Enderlin, the talented Marc Beeson and Lucie Silvas, and industry veterans Gary Burr, Georgia Middleman and Jim Photoglo among others.
In keeping with The Bluebird's tradition of providing an affordable and intimate space to interact with songwriters, tickets are $20 and attendance will be limited. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit stageit.com/bluebirdcafetn/.
