CMA Fest
It wouldn’t be summertime in Nashville without one of our city’s most iconic and beloved traditions, CMA Fest. Every year, music lovers from near and far flock downtown to experience the signature country music event with an alwaysexceptional lineup of talent. The 2025 CMA Fest runs June 5 through 8, featuring a multitude of performances spanning numerous stages, including four nightly concerts held at Nissan Stadium. Expect an impressive mix of performances from remarkable up-and-coming acts to some of country music’s biggest stars, including Riley Green, Darius Rucker, Shaboozey, Kelsea Ballerini, Parker McCollum, Jason Aldean, Keith Urban, Megan Moroney, Blake Shelton, Rascal Flatts, Ashley McBryde, Dierks Bentley, and many more. Fans can even get a more personal look into the lives of artists at Fan Fair X, located inside the Music City Center, with meet and greets, indoor performances, interviews, and more. There are also plenty of free offerings for the whole family to enjoy during the day, with a plethora of outdoor stages and activities open to the public all day long.
Cheekwood Community Celebration
There is so much to discover at Cheekwood Estate & Gardens all year long, but this summer marks an exciting new experience — the inaugural Cheekwood Community Celebration. Running June 3 through 7, the new celebration features five days of special events to help you soak up all the beauty of summertime at Cheekwood. Each day has its own theme and includes special day and night programming offering plenty for all ages to enjoy, including half-price admission, musical performances, a movie night in the gardens, and more. Some of Nashville’s most wellknown cultural institutions will also be on site providing entertaining activities, including The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum bringing its Musical Petting Zoo to Cheekwood along with a Taylor Swift-themed dance party and friendship bracelet-making station; the Nashville Zoo, which will bring three visiting animal ambassadors to the gardens; free wellness classes from Small World Yoga; and so much more. There are also food trucks, daily tours of the gardens and mansion, and classes from The Cheekwood Gardening School for just $5. Throughout the inaugural celebration, members receive free daytime admission and discounted evening special event tickets and non-members receive half-price admission.
The Gentle Barn
Two words: Cow. Hugs. Though that summarization barely scratches the surface. Take a horse on a walk, give pigs belly rubs, pet goats and sheep, cradle chickens, chat with turkeys, and so much more at The Gentle Barn in Christiana, Tennessee. Book a family, group, party, or even an all-day tour to soak in the barnyard cuteness in the sunshine. Though it is an animal sanctuary, in many ways The Gentle Barn is like a sanctuary for humans as well. Connecting with nature and animals can be an instant mood booster. Plus, the cost of your visit benefits this incredible nonprofit and all the work they’re doing to help both animals and people.
