After postponing the 5th Annual Broadway Brunch from May to August due to COVID-19, the Nashville Repertory Theatre has decided to shift their annual fundraiser to an entirely online event.
"Broadway Brunch At Night" will take place online on Sunday, August 23 at 7 p.m., kicking off a weeklong campaign for Nashville Rep. The event will be completely free to the public with a suggested donation.
“Though we are sad we won’t be able to see everyone this year at Broadway Brunch, we are excited to create a fun virtual event for our entire theatre family to join us and support the work of Nashville Repertory Theatre!” said Amos Glass, the Rep’s Director of Community Engagement. “Nashville Rep is Nashville's professional theatre company, and our goal is to entertain and inspire our audiences while supporting our local performers. Come join the fun as we take our brunch into the night!”
The new event will be emceed online by Megan Murphy Chambers and feature live entertainment, pre-recorded musical numbers from Nashville's theatrical talent, an expanded silent auction, and other exciting surprises.
Bidding for the silent auction begins today, August 3, with auction items including an autographed Toby Keith Guitar, a weeklong Virgin Islands Getaway, private wine dinners, original art by Omari Booker, and more.
Nashville Rep's restaurant partners Ellington’s Midway Bar and Grill, Chauhan Ale & Masala House, and The Mockingbird will be offering a limited dinner menu for virtual gala patrons to order and pick up on the day of the event.
Funds raised during Broadway Brunch at Night and the following week of giving will go to support Nashville Rep's professional productions, public staged readings, Ingram New Works Project and Festival, and educational and enrichment programs for students and the community.
