Nashville Lifestyles and Landyn Hutchinson of lifestyle blog Living with Landyn paired up this year to raise money in an extraordinary way for Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee.
"We’ve been brainstorming for months about something unique to do, and we both realized our love for Oprah, and of course her famous 'Favorite Things' Christmas segments," NL publisher Brian Barry shares. "We collaborated with local Nashville vendors, as well as some of Landyn’s partnerships, to select Landyn’s favorite things."
On Thursday, December 29, OZ Arts Nashville was transformed into a winter wonderland, complete with flocked Christmas trees, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus, and actual snow! (Special thanks to 12th Table for the fabulously festive decor, Bright Event Productions for the incredible sound, lighting, and visual design, and the talented women at A&M Events for pulling it all together.)
Ahead of the event, guests were treated to catering from Black Rabbit and Sunda, as well as holiday cocktails from Ketel One Botanical and Josh Cellars wine. The Aero Bar kept the audience hydrated with two mobile bars, and a coffee bar, too. Vroom Vroom Balloon decked the space with artfully hand-lettered balloons in Landyn's favorite shades of white and gold, and Go Bonanza! photo booth was snapping pictures and boomerangs of guests all night long.
Landyn Hutchinson and Brian Barry were the hosts for the evening, introducing Landyn's favorite things and local Nashville guests, like celebrity esthetician Karee Hays and e.Allen boutique owner Elizabeth Allen. Landyn's favorite things included a subscription to Nashville Lifestyles magazine, a bevy of products from Karee Hays Esthetics (including Revision Skincare Nectifirm®), and local treats from Koko's Ice Cream, Goo Goo Cluster, and Nashville Toffee Company.
For hair that's holiday ready, Landyn also introduced her longtime hair stylist, Oxana Meade, who's opening her own salon, Oxana Salon, in January. In addition to gift cards and Living Proof dry shampoo, Oxana surprised one guest to a $500 hair makeover.
Some of the bigger highlights of the evening included diamond earrings from Grogan Jewelers by Lon, a Melanie Auld necklace, and handcrafted OMI Beads bracelets. One audience member was treated to a $1,500 shopping spree with Landyn at The Mall at Green Hills!
Santa and Mrs. Claus joined Landyn and Brian on stage, sharing warm Christie Cookies to get everyone in the holiday spirit. Then, one very lucky guest was presented with keys (on a hand-stamped PS46 keychain) to a Mercedes-Benz AMG from Mercedes-Benz of Music City!
Last but certainly not least, Santa presented a check for $36,000 to Make-A-Wish® Middle Tennessee, an organization that grants more than 100 wishes to children with life-threatening illnesses right here in Middle Tennessee.
This kind of generosity truly is the reason for the season, and we couldn't have done it with you—so thank you!
