Kick off the season (and celebrate dad) by sampling some amazing versions of the beloved sandwich at Gifford’s Bacon & Prime South Meats’ BLT Summer Party at Green Door Gourmet.
Enjoy a family-friendly evening of custom BLTs created by some of Nashville’s most renowned chefs: Chef Crystal Rose De Luna-Bogan of the Grilled Cheeserie; Chef Bobby Hodge of Oak Steakhouse; Chef Larry Carlile from Earnest Bar & Hideaway; Chef Chad Kelly of Black Rabbit; and Green Door Gourmet’s very own Executive Chef, Richard Jones.
Take part in some summery activities, like a watermelon seed spitting contest, cornhole, and lawn games. Plus, you can shop local vendors including Jeni’s Ice Cream, the Peach Truck, Gifford’s Bacon, Buffalo Trace Distillery, Harlen Wheatly Vodka, the Happy Campers, and Compost Nashville.
And did we mention there will be some seasonal cocktails to toast the lazy, hazy, crazy days of summer?
Tickets are $45 for adults and include two drink tickets, BLT tastings, ice cold watermelon, and access to all of the games and vendors. Children age six to 11 are just $10, and kids five and under are free.
The event kicks off at 4p.m. and the fun will continue until 8.
