The beloved ice! experience, a Gaylord Hotels tradition since 2001, transforms more than two million pounds of ice into a walk-through holiday attraction. This year, guests will step inside the world of Home Alone through 11 interactive scenes inspired by the holiday classic. Highlights include recreations of the McCallister home, Kevin's memorable aftershave moment, his iconic battle plan against the Wet Bandits, five ice slides, crawl-through passages, ice tunnels, live ice carving demonstrations, and a Nativity display sculpted from crystal-clear ice. The attraction is maintained at 9 degrees Fahrenheit, with signature blue parkas provided for guests.
"We are proud to partner with Disney Theatrical Group to bring the resort's brand-new ice! theme to life during our 43rd Annual A Country Christmas," said Tom Petrillo, Area General Manager of Gaylord Opryland Resort. "This year's signature attraction, ice! featuring Home Alone™, combines the extraordinary artistry of our world-class ice sculptors with the timeless charm, humor and nostalgia of one of the most beloved holiday films of all time."
The attraction is created by a team of artisans who travel from Harbin, China, using more than 6,000 ice blocks and dedicating more than 12,000 hours to construct the 17,000-square-foot experience.
Returning for the season is POMP, SNOW & CIRQUEumstance, a Broadway-inspired cirque production featuring new acts, illusions, costumes and storytelling. The award-winning show will run Nov. 24 through Dec. 31, 2026, in the Tennessee Ballroom Theater. Guests can also explore the POMP, SNOW & CIRQUEumstance Immersive Universe before performances, featuring holiday displays, character interactions and pop-up entertainment.
Throughout the resort, guests will find more than five million holiday lights, a 48-foot Christmas tree, thousands of poinsettias, miles of garland and ribbon, and seasonal activities at Pinetop, the resort's Appalachian-inspired holiday village.
