Celebrate the Season with A Jacksonian Christmas Festival at The Hermitage
December 13–14 | 2:00 – 6:00 PM
Tickets: $20 Admission | Children 13 & Under FREE
Admission tickets are valid for both days.
Celebrate the magic of the holidays at Tulip Grove, the “other” mansion on Andrew Jackson’s Hermitage property and one of Tennessee’s best-preserved antebellum homes. Built for Andrew Jackson Donelson, nephew of Rachel Jackson and private secretary to President Jackson, Tulip Grove offers a charming historic backdrop for a festive weekend full of family fun, tradition, and Christmas cheer.
Guests can enjoy holiday craft-making for kids and families, photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus (including a special pet photo hour), music and dance performances, carolers spreading seasonal cheer, food trucks, artisan vendors, and a festive Christmas trolley ride across the grounds. Admission tickets grant access to both days of the festival, giving families the flexibility to enjoy everything at their own pace while creating new holiday traditions rooted in history.
Optional Add-On Experience:
Make your visit even more memorable with a special A Jacksonian Christmas Tour of The Hermitage mansion, available for an additional cost. This lantern-lit experience takes you inside the historic home decorated with early 19th-century holiday touches. You’ll hear stories of the Jackson family, including Rachel Jackson’s passing just before Christmas, and learn about the origins of American Christmas traditions during the nation's early years.
