One of the largest antiques and horticultural events in the country makes its highly anticipated return to downtown’s Music City Center for an unforgettable weekend of high-quality antiques, beautifully landscaped gardens, horticultural items from exhibitors nationwide, and a lineup of some of the top names in design.
Drawing over 16,000 attendees from across the country, the 2023 Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville features offerings aplenty and is sure to be nothing short of extraordinary.
Running Feb. 3 to 5, the 2023 show’s theme selected by Co-Chairs Kathryn Saunders and Beth Kost is “Home is the Tapestry of your Life.” And following a record-breaking turnout last year, this year’s lineup promises to be just as enticing. Throughout the weekend-long festivities, attendees can expect to be dazzled by antiques from more than 150 dealers; world-class landscaped gardens; and unique opportunities to engage with design and horticulture masterminds through educational lectures, book signings, and panel discussions.
“The Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville is a special project for me,” says Saunders. “I’m particularly looking forward to our dynamic lecture series. We have a fabulous lineup of energetic, talented speakers who are masters in their fields, and who will entertain us on topics of design, lifestyle, and floral.”
Among the impressive group of speakers are keynote lecturers Aerin Lauder of the luxury lifestyle brand AERIN and Alice Naylor-Leyland of the tablescape company Mrs. Alice. The duo will kick off the show on Friday, Feb. 3 with their lecture titled, “The Beauty of Home and Entertaining with Aerin and Alice.” Additional speakers and moderators combing the best of entertaining, gardening, and design at this year’s show include interior designers Thom Filicia and Mary McDonald who will lead a lifestyle-design lecture, “Adventures in Home
Design with Mary and Thom,” and florist and author Christin Geall of Cultivated by Christin leading,“CultivatedFloralDesign:ColorTheory for Designers and Gardeners.” There will also be a panel discussion comprised of leading designers Suzanne Kasler, Corey Damen Jenkins, Celerie Kemble, and Richard Keith Langham. Attendees can also expect to be wowed by three awe-inspiring garden displays. Brought to life by accomplished landscape designers, each garden can be interactively experienced. This year’s East Garden is designed by Josiah Lockard and Associates and features a gorgeous Hartley Botanic Glasshouse. The West Garden is designed by Duke Design Group and showcases chicken coops created by Martha Stewart and Christopher Spitzmiller. And all the exceptional offerings that make up the Antiques & Garden Show of Nashville are for a worthy cause, as proceeds from the show benefit two phenomenal local organizations, Cheekwood Estate & Gardens and Economic Club of Nashville (ECON) Charities. Since its inception in 1990, the show has raised over $9 million for its beneficiaries.
