Celebrate spring in one of Nashville’s most beloved traditions, Spring Outing at Andrew Jackson's Hermitage on Wednesday, May 13, 2026.
Now in its 125th year, this cherished event began as a simple picnic on the lawn hosted by the Ladies’ Hermitage Association, an early preservation movement that helped save the historic site. Today, Spring Outing has grown into one of Nashville’s premier gatherings, blending history, community, and philanthropy while supporting the ongoing preservation of The Hermitage.
This milestone year is especially meaningful as it coincides with the 250th anniversary of the United States, honoring generations of individuals, past and present, who shaped the nation and worked to preserve its history.
Guests will enjoy a beautiful luncheon on the lawn, along with an inspiring program featuring keynote speakers Norah O’Donnell and Kate Andersen Brower, co-authors of We the Women: The Hidden Heroes Who Shaped America, which highlights the often-overlooked women who helped build the nation.
Whether you’re continuing a long-standing tradition or attending for the first time, Spring Outing offers a meaningful and memorable way to experience history in a uniquely Nashville setting.
