You're a fitness buff with commitment issues who likes to try a little bit of everything: yoga on Mondays, boot camp on Wednesdays, barre classes on Fridays.
The issue:
Gym memberships aren't cheap, especially if you like to hit up multiple venues around town.
The solution?
A clever alternative to a single gym membership, this subscription service to group fitness classes allows users to visit more than 40 studios in Davidson and Williamson counties, from Barry's Bootcamp to Shakti Power Yoga to Climb Nashville. Pass-holders can take as many classes as they like for a monthly fee of $79, introducing them to new routines and fitness facilities they may never have tried before. One small catch: Gym-goers can only visit the same studio a maximum of three times a month.
Still, there's no long-term commitment, meaning ClassPass holders can cancel a membership at any time (with 15 days' notice). Online reservations for all classes are requiredthere's an iPhone app to make booking and keeping up with scheduled classes easyand users will be charged a no-show fee of $20 if they fail to attend a class that they did not cancel at least 12 hours in advance.
ClassPass was born out of a tech accelerator program and launched nationally in 2013 but only expanded its services to include Nashville in February. More info at classpass.com.
