CycleBara cycling studio that blends music, indoor biking, and fitnessis coming to Franklin.
'There is no skill set required to participate in a ridewe just ask you come with an open mind,” says Sharon Thompson, owner of the Franklin location. 'The CycleStars, our seasoned instructors, want each rider to leave feeling empowered by the great workout which is why they all take the time to develop a new playlist each ride and choreograph every single song perfectly to the beat of the music. If you are looking for a killer workout that is fun and inclusive, CycleBar is it!”
Thompson has lived in the Franklin area for ten years. She ran Division-1 Track at the University of Tennessee, was the 2003 SEC Champion, and a three time NCAA all-American. She still runs today, including qualifying for the Olympic trials in 2004, 2008, and 2012.
'I've been a competitive runner my whole life. Two of my three Olympic Trial appearances for distance running came after children. I'll always enjoy running and I've found that indoor cycling is perfect for cross-training,” says Thompson.
Most rides are about fifty minutes long, and include personal data monitors. Single rides start at $23, and ride packs are available in quantities of 20, 50, and 100. Free rides will be offered from August 11-21 before the studio officially opens to the community.
