The Nashville Fashion Alliance (NFA) has announced the nominees for the 2018 NFA Honors event.
The awards ceremony will take place Thursday, November 8 at Marathon Music Works in Nashville, celebrating Music City’s rich history in the arts and the growing role of fashion in the region.
With creative direction from Josh and Ivy Elrod, owners of Wilder in Germantown, and Laura Hutson Hunter, curator and art advisor, NFA Honors features a wide variety of Nashville-based artists for a night celebrating the booming creative community.
“NFA Honors serves as a platform to celebrate the possibilities surrounding the fashion industry and its potential to elevate our fashion companies,” says NFA CEO Van Tucker. “This annual awards ceremony offers our community, as well as the global fashion community, a look into the business and creative talent we have the opportunity to foster here.”
This year’s event promises to be a star-studded evening in celebration of the growing role of fashion in Nashville. Hosted by Ivy and Josh Elrod, the awards ceremony will include art installations by Kit Reuther, Caleb Woodard, Karen Seapker, Josh Elrod, Myles Maille, Alex Lockwood, and others, as well as performances by contemporary dance ensemble New Dialect. NFA Honors presenters include Karen Fairchild of Little Big Town, Hayley Williams of Paramore, and CFDA award-winning designer Brandon Maxwell, who will be visiting Nashville for the event.
Nominations are selected by NFA members as an opportunity to be recognized as best-in-class by their peers.
