Rascal Flatts guitarist-singer Joe Don Rooney has teamed up with golf wear brand Sligo to create a line of boys' golf shirtsall inspired by his son, Jagger. Collaborating with Sligo was a no-brainer for Rooney, who loves to hit the links. He met pro golfer Brian Gay, a Sligo brand ambassador, during a pro-am round, and the two got Shawn Aucoin, director of Sligo Wear, interested in the idea.
Jagger just so happened to be the hole-in-one designer they were looking for: Some of the six-year-old's scribbles were transformed into bold lines and colors and splashed across the apparel. The boys' collection, for ages six through 12, includes two shirts and two pairs of shorts; the pieces match up with the Jagger men's collection. And as if the story couldn't get any sweeter, Sligo is donating a portion of the proceeds of each Jagger line purchase to the Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.
