ARCEAU, On Air!
Designed by Henri d'Origny in 1978, the Arceau watch embodies the art of transformation. Inspired by equestrian themes, its round case with asymmetrical lugs is a showcase for artistic crafts. A true object of creativity and Hermès expertise, it reinvents itself with a new composition featuring miniature painting.
Immersed in the soundscape of a recording studio, the dial of the Arceau watch celebrates the throbbing heart of Music City, where every second beats to its own rhythm. Set against a sapphire background evoking a colored vinyl record with grooves pad-printed across it, a collection of guitars designed by artist Carine Brancowitz for the On Air! scarf takes shape. Captured in a snapshot moment, the four instruments are sketched out and fine-tuned beneath the artisan's brush, lit up by colorful notes.
Stripped of its iconic Arabic numerals, the watch dial is all about silence and vibration. Discreetly pulsing at the cadence of the Manufacture Hermès H1912 movement, the hands become guitar picks, strumming the strings before gliding along the grooves of the record. A scene that gives free rein to the imagination, echoing with the lively chords of the American Southeast.
Hermès Nashville is now open.
