Nashville's hospitality industry continues to bloom, and without it-city status still in strong standing, it's no wonder our hotel scene is getting bigger and better all the time. Here are four destinations for tourists and staycationers alike (two new, two redesigns) to check out in the coming months.
HYATT CENTRIC DOWNTOWN NASHVILLE
Just two blocks south of Broadway, the recently-opened Hyatt Centric truly captures the beat of downtown Nashville. With 252 guestrooms including 11 suites and floor to ceiling windows offering sweeping views of the Cumberland River, this new lifestyle hotel provides adventurous travelers an immersive experience in the heart of the action. The space features artwork from more than 20 local artists, curated in collaboration with the Nashville Artist Collective. Upon entry, guests will immediately see a custom wall covering featuring the Tennessee state bird and state tree, while the lounge area is highlighted by a ceiling painted in a bold shade of blue, reminiscent of the hues seen on the ceilings of Southern porches. The focal point is a stunning chandelier that pays homage to country music thanks to its metal detailing—inspired by outfits worn on stage by country music singers. The honkytonk-inspired lobby is equipped with a piano, record player, and collection of vinyl records. The hotel’s ninth floor will feature the city’s newest rooftop pool and bar, two lounge areas, meetings rooms with individual outdoor terraces, and a fitness center with expansive views of downtown.
Plus, Hyatt Centric Downtown Nashville offers two dining experiences: Ella’s, a signature three-meal restaurant and bar, offers classic southern cuisine. The culinary delight continues at Lala’s, the hotel’s buzzing ninth-floor rooftop pool bar and restaurant. (210 Molloy St., 615-645-6037; hyatt.com)

THE HERMITAGE HOTEL
One of the most iconic and historic hotels in Nashville, The Hermitage has been a stunning mainstay in Music City since it opened its doors in 1908. Now, the beloved institution is getting a makeover—and a major culinary addition. The hotel has partnered with design firm Forrest Perkins to refresh their iconic Beaux Arts lobby and a luxurious collection of guest rooms and suites. The redesign nods to the hotel’s illustrious history, while adding a modern, sophisticated edge, complete with a brightened color palette and custom, more modern furnishings and décor in textured shades of pale blue and other neutral tones. The refresh will lend a sense of whimsy and fun that is in line with the spirit of Nashville. The refreshed lobby will be unveiled in late Fall 2021, with the updated rooms making their debut in 2022. Anyone (male or female) who has ever been to the hotel has paid a visit to its iconic art deco men’s room, and now the ladies will have their own inspired space: a lavishly decorated new powder room with striped walls of variegated pink marble, inlaid marble flooring, arched doorways, rose gold-framed mirrors and glamorous lighting throughout. And finally, the Hermitage is giving its culinary program an upgrade, thanks to renowned chef Jean-Geroges Vongerichten. The Michelin-Starred chef will oversee all culinary operations at the hotel, including a new destination restaurant called Druise & Darr and a chic new café called The Pink Hermit.
