On Monday, January 6, the highly anticipated Graduate Nashville officially opened its doors at 101 20th Ave North, just steps away from Vanderbilt University.
In addition to 205 rooms, the hotel brings to Nashville three new food and beverage concepts, opened in partnership with hospitality team Marc Rose and Med Abrous. Those concepts include Poindexter, Graduate Hotel's all-day café, Cross-Eyed Critters Watering Hole, an animatronic karaoke bar, and the forthcoming Miss Bessie's, a rooftop bar and restaurant that offers sweeping views of Music City.
Each Graduate Hotel property celebrates the city and community in which it resides and Graduate Nashville is no exception. Design in the common spaces borrows inspiration from both Vanderbilt University and the lively music culture that has become synonymous with the city. Upon entering the lobby, guests are welcomed by terrazzo marble floors and high-gloss walls, complemented with vibrant furniture, eclectic Music City inspired statement pieces, and nods to the neighboring university.

Guest room décor continues to tell the story of Nashville's creative spirit and innate southern flare with bright floral bed canopies, pink and white striped walls, and rich gold accents. Inspired by the music legends who have called Tennessee home, each room features portraits of stars like Loretta Lynn and Dolly Parton. Paying homage to Parton, the hotel's presidential suite has been reimaged as the "9 to 5" suite complete with a king-sized water bed, disco-ball surface ceilings, pink shag rugs, and vintage memorabilia.
Food & Beverage
Nashville Lifestyles
The all-day café concept can be found centrally located in the Graduate Nashville's lobby. Featuring a bar made from hundreds of pencils, Poindexter will serve as a community gathering space with a menu offering a variety of breakfast sandwiches, salads, sandwiches, snacks, as well as caffeinated beverages, beers, ciders, and natural wines.
Graduate Nashville's forthcoming rooftop bar and restaurant will be located on the hotel's 12th floor, boasting unobstructed views of Midtown and Downtown Nashville. The indoor-outdoor rooftop destination will feature a pool, onyx bar, and bright floral lounge seating complete with an oversized, round vintage daybed.
Cross-Eyed Critters Watering Hole
Positioned directly off the lobby and with a separate entrance on West End Avenue, Cross-Eyed Critters Watering Hole is the first ever animatronic karaoke bar, complete with a backup band of robotic musicians including a bear, pig, and fox. The rustic walls of Cross-Eyed Critters are lined with black velvet paintings of country-western stars, while aged wooden floors create a gritty, worn-in feel. The bar offerings will include a variety of nostalgic cocktails and shots, cold beer, and an outdoor taco trailer, which pays homage to the beloved late-night favorite, Taco Bell, formerly located on the Graduate Nashville site.
Upcoming Events
To celebrate its opening, Graduate Nashville will host a week of launch events including a Yoga and Wellness Pop-Up, a Ceramic Painting Workshop, and more. For more information and the full list of events visit eventbrite.com.
